Description
The School Education Group, a division of McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of print and digital educational materials for Grades PreK-12, is looking for a Secondary Consultant Manager for the East territory. Candidates must live within the territory and live near a major airport.
Responsibilities:
* Recruit, hire and supervise team of product line Consultants
* Provide presentation training for direct reports that applies consultative selling techniques and presentation best practice
* Ride with, observe and provide coaching feedback to consultants on presentation skills and competitive selling; conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews
* Monitor consultant scheduling for direct reports; resolve and communicate conflicts and changes to assignments
* Collaborate with product managers and organize consultant teams to develop presentation messages for new products; monitor effectiveness of existing presentation messages
* Proficiently use and adapt to multiple software, platforms and devices; and promote digital with direct reports
* Assist in coordinating and executing national, regional and new hire product and sales training based on individual and identified needs
* Assist in coordinating customer product training for print and digital products
* Serve as liaison with marketing/editorial departments to provide product and competitive feedback
This position works remotely. The School Education Group will provide home office equipment as well as a company vehicle.
Qualifications
* Bachelor''s degree
* Thorough understanding of the education market products or related expertise; secondary market
* Minimum of five years teaching experience
* Minimum of five years educational consulting experience
* Ability to conduct and model effective sales presentations; coordinate and conduct product training; and provide direction, coaching, and feedback to regional and per-diem consultants
* Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Must be able to travel extensively, up to 70% of the time
* Must have a valid driver''s license
* Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds on a regular basis
