Description
Job Summary
Represents the Director and Managers in the business unit in providing analytical and support services required by clients. This includes, but is not limited to working with clients to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements as well as mapping and assessment of business processes and identification of potential improvements. Also, recommends, defines, and directs project team tasks in support of client needs. This position provides work direction of cross-functional teams on assigned tasks.
Accountabilities
- Acquires certifications in areas of expertise, when available.
- Creates and maintains project work plans and manages budgets. Schedules and manages work activities and projects to ensure on time and in budget implementation of best-in-class solutions to client needs while meeting organization and corporate goals.
- Develops and conducts formal and informal presentations.
- Gathers information, analyzes, designs, recommends and implements solutions in area of responsibility.
- Identifies/utilizes appropriate tools.
- Provides direction and leadership for multiple teams and may be required to lead projects. Supports/consults on team members'' performance management. Is self-directed. Supports multiple internal and external clients.
- Works with clients to document business needs and supporting Business Case on large-scale business efforts as well as working with clients to understand/manage application portfolios and define training needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in a related field Business, Information Technology discipline, e.g. MIS, CIS and five to seven years experience performing similar responsibilities.
- In the absence of a formal degree, a high school diploma or GED and eight to ten years experience performing similar responsibilities is required.
- Ability to lead multiple teams and support multiple internal and external clients.
- Analytical and problem solving skills and ability to recommend and implement solutions.
- Communicates effectively, ability to influence and build relationships to foster a positive work environment and elicit support for acceptance of new methods, processes, and technology within the organization.
- Experience creating and maintaining project work plans.
- Experience in managing projects, using project management tools, scheduling and managing the work activities of others.
- Organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of IT concepts, e.g. emerging technologies, industry standards, architectures, and systems design.
- Understanding of project management concepts and processes.
