- Manages API and R&D budget spend for Chemical Development & Manufacturing by tracking actuals & variance to plan.

Determines & communicates correct accounting / transaction guidance to department.

Assists in implementation and support of tax initiatives in coordination with external advisors.

 Manages Inventory Reserves process – identifying at risk lots, reviewing with management, and communicating to Finance.

Liaises with Finance, Tax, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash leads to drive operational improvements.

Drives implementation and management of cost savings program


- MBA preferred
- Inventory/Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.


Manages outsourced materials and logistics activities such as warehousing, brokerage, and transport. 

Identifies and purchases materials, parts, services, and supplies necessary for the operation of a pharmaceutical materials management organization. 
 Confers with vendors and analyzes vendors' operations and technical capabilities to determined factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. 
 Coordinates production schedules based on downstream requirements. 
 Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 
 Will ensure suitable quality, optimal economics, and adequate supply chain security.
 Coordinate preparation, approval, distribution, and maintenance of SOPs.
 Oversee the establishment of suitable agreements covering confidentiality, service terms & conditions, and quality.
 Communicate risks and delays to project teams on a timely basis.
 Solid working knowledge of relevant regulatory guidance, including pharmaceutical GMPs and ICH guidance.
 Will participate in QA in Regulatory audits.
 Familiar with the capacities, strengths, and weaknesses of a wide variety of manufacturers, pharmaceutical warehouses and distributors world wide.
 Serves as the lead contact person tor multiple contractors.
 Supports department head in resource planning and financial reporting.
 Strong negotiation skills.
 Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
 Sound organizational and time management skills.
 Ability to interact effectively with senior management.



10+ years relevant, progressively responsible experience managing external sites and a BA or BS degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering, or other relevant area of science. 

A MA/MBA degree can be substituted for 2 years of relevant experience.
 A Ph.D. degree can be substituted for 4 years of relevant experience.
