Business Unit Overview
Join our Constellation team and become part of Exelons competitive retail and wholesale energy business. Constellation is headquartered in Baltimore, with regional offices in Chicago, Houston, Kennett Square, Louisville, New York, and Omaha.
We develop energy management strategies that help customers buy, manage and consume energy. Our retail unit is among the largest and most comprehensive in the industry with approximately 1 million residential customers that rely on our commitment to innovation, dependability, transparency, and service. Our wholesale business serves utilities, municipalities and co-ops and features world-class risk management and energy trading capabilities.
The Analyst of Mass Markets will be accountable in setting up prospective customers, legal name verification, credit and contract requests, facilitation of LDC enrollment paperwork, data cleanup projects and performing various individual contribution aspects of the sales support role. The Analyst interfaces with other functional areas including Sales, Credit, Contracts, Operations, Legal, Supply and Accounting to ensure processes are completed properly and timely to meet the needs of the customers and sales team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Manages and performs work with the team to meet customer and sales team support requirements.
-Liaises between sales and other functional departments to ensure proper communication throughout pre sales contract cycle, sales campaigns, and special projects.
-Owns setup and accuracy of prospective customer including relationships between the existing meters, credit, contracting and nomination accounts.
-Maintains data accuracy on any changes in customer data (ownership changes for example).
-Owns verification of customers legal name thru the secretary of state websites.
-Manages the submission of credit requests.
-Manages the submission of contract requests.
-Manages the RFP Broker/Agent mailbox, if applicable, which includes prioritization and distribution of correspondence from Channel Partners.
-Manage the setup of Broker compensation schedules, if applicable.
-Prepare and distribute new customer welcome packets.
-Coordinate the completion of LDC enrollment paperwork where customer signatures are required.
-Assist in the resolution of customer telemetry issues as required.
-Assist in data cleanup projects as assigned.
-Provide basic customer reporting as assigned by Supervisor, Sales Support or Sales Directors.
-Provide pricing to BDMs with some guidance or instruction from BDMs, Regional Account Managers or Sales Support Leaders.
-Supports the regional marketing teams on special projects and initiatives, including webinars for associations and key customers, as needed.
-Bachelors Degree in business related field of study or equivalent experience
-A minimum of 2 years of business experience, preferably in marketing or communications; Proven knowledge of business principles and practices
-Working knowledge of sales, operations and related business practices
-Ability to successfully complete business process and system changes within team environment.
-Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet.
-Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines for self and others that may or may not report to this role.
-Ability to write business correspondence and e-mails.
-Demonstrated ability to manage several different tasks simultaneously.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information at all times.
-Travel as required by customers and businesses needs.
-All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
-A minimum of 1 years of retail energy experience is highly preferred.
