Secret Clearance Required
Responsible for the planning, design, coordination, and documentation of actions necessary to implement an integrated communications infrastructure between customer elements and training support communications capabilities. Serves as coordination liaison between the Mission Training Complex (MTC)) and the communications section of the supported training unit. Develops Exercise Communications Architecture and Exercise Communication Plan that integrates exercise and tactical communications requirements.
Functions include the installation, maintenance, and control of Mission Command System (MCS) applications for logistics, intelligence, and fire support as well as the underlying computer operating systems. Likewise, designs, configures, documents, tests, and modifies computer applications and networks for use in an integrated MCS training environment.
Installs, tests, analyzes, and provides problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication network. Monitors all hardware components to ensure network communication facilities are operational at optimum levels. Analyzes user requests to determine needs, and recommends appropriate equipment and software.
Coordinates with customer unit representatives to resolve interconnection and integration issues between military systems and MTC systems and servers. Assists customer unit system operators with MTC specific configuration issues as needed.
Executes comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of MC systems and simulation / stimulation systems. Configures system interface nodes supporting end-to-end connectivity and tactical message flow. Monitors the real-time operational status; tests hardware architecture and software for the conduct of staff training employing numerous LVCG+MC capabilities as applicable.
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
WTA Education/Experience Requirements: 6 Years, "and/or" related B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, Information Systems or Mathematics
DoD Certification and Training Requirements: As a condition of initial and continuing employment, obtains and maintains required certifications.
1) Baseline Certification: CompTIA A+ CE
2) Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft MCSA: Windows 7
3) IA Technical Category: IAT1
4) Mandatory Training / Local Training Plan: Complies with all DoD, Army, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulation, and company and site policy.
GDIT requirement: 5-8 years of experience
