ABOUT THE PANELISTS
Jon Bedard, Co-Founder of THKP, has been a software engineer for 15 years and is passionate about web accessibility. Jon has implemented and built highly accessible features and apps for both Google and Instagram - including Google Classroom, VR, and the Android Instagram App.
Jon formed his own company, THKP, and currently specializes in building and launching web and/or mobile apps from the ground up with his business partner and co-owner.
Andrew 'Drew' Nielson is an expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accessibility. He is Co-Founder of the annual ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium that brings together ICT accessibility testing experts from around the world to exchange academic analysis of current testing issues and improve accessibility testing practices.
Drew is a principal Co-Author "Harmonized Processes for Revised Section 508: Baseline Tests for Web Accessibility" - i.e. the 'ICT Baseline'. Drew also facilitated the expert team that developed the 'Baseline' and 'Trusted Tester' process, which is currently recognized across the federal government as the gold standard for accessibility testing.
