Role Summary:

If you have a passion technology and/or software and want a career in engineering, the Edison Program is for you! Entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training. Committed to the development of tomorrow's Engineer with a drive for technical excellence. Essential Responsibilities:

The GE Gas Power EEDP will prepare you for an exciting career tackling one of the world's toughest challenge We Engineer cleaner, more accessible energy that people depend on, power growth and prosperity everywhere. As a Gas Power EEDP, you will:

• Work on rotations over 2 years in a variety of disciplines/business segments.
• Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
• Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other business and locations.
• Have the opportunity to earn credit towards an MS degree in Engineering (if entering with a BS)
• Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
• EEDP's in Gas Power experience technically challenging and innovative rotations in the power generation industry focusing in the areas of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
• The core engineering skills gained in assignments are enhanced through Advanced Courses in Engineering and Corporate leadership training.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the Engineering majors stated below from an ABET accredited university.
• GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall

Desired Characteristics:

• Preference will be given to persons with 3.2/4.0 overall or higher GPA in the majors noted below.
• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing
• Highly - motivated, energetic, confident, flexible in changing environments.
• Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering
• Demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
• Demonstrated and enthusiastic leadership and teambuilding skills
• Strong team and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment
• Proven scholastic achievements and proactive leadership skills

Other Vacancy notes:
• Greenville, SC, Schenectady NY are potential locations for first year. Other select locations inside the US are available in the second year of the program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (on 4.0 overall scale)
• Graduation dates: Fall 2020 or Spring 2021
• Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Other Engineering majors such as: Aero Engineering, Controls Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other Energy Engineering related majors will be considered.
