Supervisor Network Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to lead and supervise a team of network engineers. You will be responsible to optimize and maintain the "As Is" architecture while simultaneously setting conditions to integrate emerging capabilities and capacity to support customer's global operations. You will lead and mentor engineers to ensure priorities for planning, installing, securing, operating and maintaining LAN,WAN,WLAN and Mobile networks in support of established operational requirements and service level objectives.

In this role, you should have outstanding leadership and communications skills, superior problem-solving skills, exceptional initiative tempered with sound judgement and a thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture.

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN and Mobile Integration)
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
  • Monitor network performance and integrity
  • Prioritize and Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Mentor team members on technical issues
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Provide technically sound input necessary to enable improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure operational excellence, adherence to sound configuration management discipline and support technical planning

Required Skills and Education
  • Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer
  • Professional certification (eg.CCNP,SEC +)
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Leadership, organizational and mentoring skills
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
