Job Description

Our Animal Health Research & Development team work tirelessly to invent solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of animals. Scientists within our Company's Animal Health Formulation Group are responsible for the development of variety of different dosage forms (oral, topical, injectable, implant, etc.) and related processes across all stages of pharmaceutical development.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated scientist with an outstanding scientific track-record and passion for pharmaceutical product development. The candidate will play an active role in support of both early and late stage development candidates including screening, design, and development of formulations defined by robust drug product compositions and processes. The candidate should have strong communication skills, good interpersonal and collaboration skills, an ability to multitask, and a strong desire to learn and contribute.

Necessary Qualifications:
  • Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Related Discipline - no experience required.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering or Related Discipline with minimum of three years relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment.
  • A strong passion for hands-on work.
  • Ability to learn and apply new scientific principles through the execution of daily assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, design, and execute on innovative ideas.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with-members of diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Technical background and experience developing pharmaceutical formulations and processes
  • Hands-on experience in a commercial or pilot pharmaceutical plant
  • Ability to prepare high-quality technical documents and presentations
