Job Description

The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Applications are sought for multiple co-op opportunities in Vaccine Process Research and Development within our company's Research Laboratories.

IT-Focused Co-Op:

Applications are sought for a business operations co-op opportunity in Vaccine Process Research and Development within our company's Research Laboratories Division. Under the direction of the project leader, individual will help build internal IT applications to support execution of priority documentation used by scientific staff. Duties include: translating department needs into an appealing digital environment, creating work instructions for sustainability, and training of end-users.

Individual is expected to function in a multi-disciplinary environment and contribute to functional teams. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have the ability to build innovative solutions that are user-friendly and are supported by Office 365 applications.In addition, to the core responsibilities outlined above, the candidate will be expected to comply with all required training, and maintain a focused attention on safety/compliance of themselves and the team.

Require Education and Experience:
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Chemical/Bio Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or relevant discipline
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to 6 months.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a co-op program at their college / university.


Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Candidates should have current G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience with Office 365 Applications (e.g. Powerapps, SharePoint, and Power automate)


R&D Focused Co-Op:

Under the direction of the group leader, individual will perform lab-scale process development/scale-up studies, develop robust, efficient, scalable processes for vaccine production, demonstrate capability of single use equipment and systems, and determine impact of raw material changes on product. Duties may include: lab scale fermentation, cell culture, virus production, lab-scale purification and/or bioconjugation process development, in-process assay support, process scale-up and functioning as a key member of a process development team.

Individual is expected to function in a multi-disciplinary environment and to contribute to various functional teams engaged in development of the vaccine candidate. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate results of his/her work in both verbal and written formats. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the candidate will be expected to keep careful notes, comply with all required training, and maintain a focused attention on laboratory safety for himself and his team.

Position may require employee to work with infectious agents and/or pathogens.
