Location: Work from home position located in Los Angeles , California (Orange or Los Angeles County preferred)

As our Installation Systems Sales Manager, you will be responsible for covering southern CA, Las Vegas, and Hawaii bypromoting & supporting our total ceiling solution (suspension systems, integrated solutions & architectural specialties) to subcontractors, general contractors, distributors & architects. Additionally, youwill provide technical details/solutions, job site installation/training and troubleshooting installation issues. The ultimate goal is to translate our value proposition of incorporating integrated solutions by reducing labor for the installing contractor & promoting construction expertise.

What you'll be doing:
  • Acting as the technical solutions expert (SME) within the region, supporting the Armstrong sales team
  • Identifying opportunities, problems, needs, and solutions through relationships with customers.
  • Ability to read blue prints and identify Armstrong solutions
  • Conduct job site visits to assist contractors with new solutions and training
  • Working with contractors to understand their issues and to coach and train them on Armstrong systems and capabilities in an effort to reduce on-site labor
  • Investigating & troubleshooting claims and complaints as well as recommending solutions
  • Converting traditional track & stud details to Armstrong solution details
  • Supporting role in promoting General Contractor relationships by providing integrated, "pre-fab" & constructible solutions in an effort to reduce the construction schedule.
  • Develop a list of (20) Top Opps promote Armstrong advantaged solutions, follow up and close them. Identify opportunities for solutions such as DGS, Acoustibuilt, value engineering, etc.

What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or equivalent industry expertise
  • 5+ years' experience in carpentry, project management, estimating, or commercial construction
  • Demonstrated technical skills, including carpentry, hands-on installation, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and analyze blueprints
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Having the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of customers

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in ceiling installation and building products
  • Commercial contractor experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, Adobe, BlueBeam, Auto CAD
