Utilizing the Bank's Vendor Risk Management System, the incumbent is responsible for performing and/or supervising vendor risk assessment projects within the Bank. This includes determining if there are any control gaps between the Bank's most critical enterprise-level vendor risks and vendor risk management processes, and identifying, evaluating, and planning strategies for improving vendor risk management within the various areas of the Bank.

  • Act as Administrator for VendorInsight Vendor Management Oversight tool
  • Responsible for development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the vendor management processes, standards, and metric tracking.
  • Obtain all required due diligence material from Business Unit to onboard vendors, ensuring all necessary documents are submitted to the appropriate departments to be reviewed/approved (Legal, Credit, Information Security, BSA, BCP and any other necessary departments).
  • Perform periodic vendor reviews, obtain all necessary paperwork and submit to the appropriate-ate department for review.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with Business Units as needed.
  • Follow up on the VendorInsight Alerts with the Business Units assigned to the contracts.
  • Maintain and update all necessary reports / spreadsheets and submit to upper management as needed.
  • Identify, evaluate and plan strategies for improving vendor risk management.
  • Assist with the Bank's Vendor Risk Management Program. Develop and maintain policies and procedures and oversee the activities of the third-party administrator.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.


Who We Want

  • 5+ years of vendor management experience or equivalent risk management experience within the financial services industry
  • 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Vendor management industry designations preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration
  • Knowledge of regulations related to vendor management practices within the financial services industry (e.g. Fed SR 13-19, OCC Bulletin 2013-29, etc.)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Familiarity with vendor management risk systems utilized within the financial service industry.
  • Knowledge of standard contract language related to outsourced activities
