Organon - Associate Director, Business Partner Pharmacovigilance Liaison

Job Description

Position Purpose

Under the direction and oversight of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) Process and Standards Director, the External Partner Liaison Associate Director oversees PV activities provided by vendors and business partners. The Associate Director monitors these activities to ensure compliance with relevant PV regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • In coordination with regional PV support, manage PV activities related to Vendors such as tracking, annual compliance reviews, engagement with R&D vendor management, procurement, and governance with representatives from the business (e.g., social media, PSP, MKT research).
  • Working with the PV Licensing group, review and ensure appropriate PV provisions are in line with current regulations and are included in vendor and Business Development agreements.
  • Monitor vendor and business development partner activities to ensure appropriate and timely exchange of safety information to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance related issues that may impact the ability to meet regulatory requirements and business goals.
  • Implement effective action plans by liaising with other stakeholders as appropriate to address compliance and quality concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with BPO partner to drive innovation through the use of artificial intelligence and robotic process automation.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and engage team members as appropriate to initiate PV system access when required, data exchange between databases, and PV training as appropriate. Participate when vendors and business development partners are audited or inspected and provide data as needed.

Qualification, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a life science/health care/pharmaceutical related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a specific focus on pharmacovigilance related activities
  • Knowledge of PV principles, systems and requirements in addition to PV regulations
  • Experience collaborating with external BPO partners
  • Problem solving, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage close relationships with key stakeholders within the region.
  • Proficient with basic Office 365 suite applications
