Job Description

As part of the NNS strategy to deploy a Lean culture, tools and operating system, the company must bring talent and expertise from Industry. We are specifically looking for a candidate with a successful track record of implementing lean. This individual should be a proven Lean expert fully capable of "hitting the ground running" including managing and developing the lean promotion office employees.
  • Lean strategy development and execution
  • Provide leadership to influence process change
  • Design lean systems that aid in improved work flow, improve efficiencies and maximize utilization of facilities, personnel and operations.
  • Working with HR, define the lean training plan
  • Coach lean thinking across the organization
  • Capture the business case and results for lean deployments
  • Act as the lean sensei for the leadership team
  • Manage and develop a team

Must demonstrate application of Lean principles and technical skills to advance application. Ability to facilitate, teach and coach all levels of the organization. A hands-on approach both within the shop and above the shop floor experience. Demonstrate great communication and listening skills, both verbal and written. Exhibit a passion for process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school of engineering and 8 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering, and design or equivalent. A Master's of Science degree in Engineering and professional registration with 6 years of relevant experience are preferred.
