MACHINE OPERATOR Hexacomb Auburn, WA

We are looking for our next team member to be a Machine Operator in our Auburn, WA facility.

Pay starts at $19.00/hr but quickly increases (in 6 to 12 months) to $24.12/hr as you learn the skills needed to be an operator (training is provided, but different people learn at different speeds, and so the 6-12 month range). Typical hours are Monday to Thursday 5 am - 3 pm, however 12 hour shifts (5 am - 5 pm) and short Friday shifts are common with short notice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate a production machine to make our main product, sheets of hexacomb or honeycomb packaging.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies, make suggestions to improve safety and look out for fellow employee's safety.Work to improve our safety culture.
  • With training, set up, operate, and shut down the production machine.
  • Safely run the machine while continuously working to improve up time, speed, and waste.
  • Enter data into manufacturing systems as needed. Understand and handle all aspects of paperwork and data, such as quality check sheets, drawings, Bill of Materials, data entry into HOMS or similar software.
  • Be open to trying new ideas, all the time.
  • Encourage very strong teamwork between departments.


Ensure lines of responsibility are blurred between departments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
