We are looking for System Administrators to support system development and test efforts for the United States Navy in Dahlgren, Virginia. The right candidate will support System Administrator functions in an Information Assurance roll in a team environment. In this position you will support all aspects of the system development lifecycle to include software design, development and test while working collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure high-quality software product delivery

Parsons Engineers analyze, design, and develop computer software required to support hardware or technical service products. The successful candidate will review system architecture, and select and implement appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance, as well as test and debug related information technology. We are focused on providing our customers expertise to leverage their existing software and create new capabilities.   • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in local/wide area networks, workstation/personal computer installation and maintenance, and/or operation of application computer networks
  • U.S. citizen with a minimum of a SECRET Clearance and requires a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the past 5 years

  • Excellent written, verbal and customer service communications skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, customer-facing and secure operational work environment
  • Ability to self-direct and self-manage workload comprised of multiple, parallel activities with little to no managerial oversight
  • Ability to collaborate within and Agile/Scrum software development process
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of computer security requirements to Secure Internet Protocol Routing Network (SIPRNET)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with software to include but not limited to Oracle, MSAccess, Linux, and Java is desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in networking and information technology (IT) and current Cyber
    Security guidelines, procedures, and processes
  • Current IT Level II designation under DoD Directive 8570.01M or its successor
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF)
  • Electronic Warfare experience
  • Experience developing software to communicate with hardware using TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communications
  • Experience with multiple programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, DotNET, Ruby, Erlang, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, and Ajax.
  • Knowledge of and experience with virtualization
  • Professional Software Development Methodology Certifications
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
