Under the
direction of the Principal Investigator along with supervision and coordination
of junior faculty, Assistant/Associate Researchers, and postdoctoral fellows,
we explore and validate gene regulation and function in hepatocytes after
identifying important candidate in transcriptomics and lipidomics research from
humans with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with and without
hepatocellular carcinoma. We also examine the molecular factors associated with
NAFLD, obesity and other metabolic diseases.

collaboration with laboratory personnel, you will perform basic experiments
using cell culture models (including primary cell cultures), cultured cell
extracts, cloning, stable cell line generation, and human samples to compile
fundamental data, the necessary tools for strengthened analysis, theorizing,
and understanding. Work with murine models and also undertake novel,
independent research projects in collaboration with other lab members. General
lab duties include overall lab maintenance, ordering, inventory assessments,
and basic training and superintending of junior scientist, students, and
interns or fellows.
