Position Summary
Integral member of the Medical Information team who maximizes therapeutic, product, and value- based research supporting Novartis oncology products to optimize internal and external customer (e.g. payers, healthcare professionals [HCPs]) communications. This position offers an opportunity to work on cross-functional teams to support Novartis oncology products. Acts as a resource provides guidance and coaching to colleagues on health economics and value evidence research as it relates to Medical Information.
Major accountabilities:
• Create and deliver timely responses to unsolicited medical information inquiries/requests from payers and HCPs in a multi-media environment and record information according to Novartis and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and approve Medical Response Documents (MRDs) for oncology portfolio
• Provide oversight for medical inquiry fulfilment process
• Author value evidence-related MRDs of health outcomes and real-world information for US Oncology product portfolio, including CONSORT statements, as needed.
• Conduct medical review of FDAMA-114 and other managed markets-related promotional materials during Oncology marketing promotional review (oMAP) meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify strategies and execute tactics related to value evidence communications to support Novartis Oncology products (e.g integrated disease management team [IDMT], launch management teams [LMT], Global Oncology Scientific Affairs).
• Develop comprehensive clinical compendia strategies for product(s) by collaborating with key internal partners and subsequently lead submission process according to NVS guidelines.
• Evaluate, with key internal partners, potential value-based compendia submissions to Pathways, Guidelines, other societies, etc.

Minimum requirements

Position Requirements
• MS within scientific subject area required. MPH, PhD, PharmD, MD; Oncology therapeutic area experience and knowledge preferred.
• 7 plus years of experience in medical writing, medical information/drug information, and/or relevant clinical experience. Preferred
• Proficient in managed care with previous experience in evidenced based medicine review and writing; knowledge of healthcare-decision making processes.
• Demonstrates understanding of HEOR methods including patient reported outcomes, analysis of real world evidence, and economic modeling.
• Demonstrates knowledge of US payer environment.
• Demonstrates development of communicating HEOR value evidence for external US audiences (e.g., payers, clinicians, or regulators).
