Electronics Process Engineer

Job Description
A typical day for a Electronics Process Engineer involves time in our assembly factory, working with the production team and reviewing product at various manufacturing stages, as well as time planning for products yet to be released into the factory. The primary responsibility of the process engineer in the Manassas Circuit Card Factory is to develop robust assembly processes and controls for existing products as well as new designs. The processes include various soldering and adhesive operations, cleans, and measurement steps. The Electronics Process Engineer will work with the production team to develop process documents for various pieces of equipment, which the operators will use during their work. You will also create detailed process instructions in our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). As process changes are made, the Electronics Packaging Engineer will analyze process data and present changes to our Technical Review Board. Support of our Change Control Methodologies, Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts and Risk Analysis (PFMEA, DFM) will be ongoing activities. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • A bachelor's degree in some engineering or science discipline, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to analyze data using MS Excel, and create presentations using MS Powerpoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting and Root Cause/Corrective Action skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Certifications for assembly related training, for example SMT Processes or equipment
  • Familiarity with various military assembly regulations, for example IPC-600, various NASA Standards, or Mil STD 883.
  • The ability to be cleared to a Secret level
