The Executive Director Global Lifecycle Management Strategy is responsible for developing and executing lifecycle management (LCM) strategies and tactics for the Novartis Oncology portfolio, in order to continuous improve the value of our medicines to patients. This role includes responsibility for leading and developing a team of internal LCM experts.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Drive transformative change by ensuring integration of LCM practices into key programs and brand strategies and by fostering cross-functional collaboration and enterprise mindset
• Develop industry-leading Center of Excellence in LCM; develop, retain, and recruit a diverse and talented team of experts
• Partner with Global Franchises and Program Teams to design and lead product and/or therapy optimization projects for the Novartis Oncology portfolio
• Create awareness for the broad set of LCM strategies and tactics possible as well as industry best practices
• Harness broad expertise across a diverse internal and external network to effectively support LCM initiatives
• Provide teams with tools and processes to support LCM planning and execution
• Monitor patient needs and market trends to be competitive and challenge the status quo
• Ensure budgets and resources are effectively managed within agreed upon limits and plans are effectively implemented

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

Required
• University degree in Marketing, Medicine, Natural or Pharmaceutical Sciences. An advanced degree in science and/or business preferred (e.g., MD, Pharm. D., PhD., MBA)
•At least 10+ years of pharmaceuticals experience (including operating and consulting roles)
• Has specialized LCM knowledge that includes familiarity with topics across several development and commercialization disciplines such as technical and clinical development, relevant regulatory frameworks, market access and commercial positioning
• Comfortable rapidly switching between complex science and commercial concepts, with an ability to bridge between them and build common understanding amongst people on either side
• Proven ability to collaborate, operate and influence effectively across a global matrix organization
