Job Description Summary

The Lead Sales Manager - Technical Sales is responsible for promoting GE Power Conversion products in our customers in North America (especially rotating machines - motors & generators). He/She will be the technical point of contact to support the sales organization and will develop a detailed plan to technically promote GE Power Conversion on the main OEMs, End Users and EPCs.

Essential Responsibilities

As Lead Sales Manager - Technical Sales you will:
  • Be accountable for promoting our products (especially electric motors and generators) in our customers in North America
  • Define a visit plan together with the Sales and Marketing Intelligence Team, based on the future projects that are coming up in USA/Canada
  • Develop deep relationship with customers, specially with their Engineering teams to influence their specifications in favor of our product strengths
  • Support the business to meet the orders targets
  • Develop new accounts together with Sales Organization
  • Identify the 'untapped' customer base to ensure regular direct customer to build the required customer relationship; link the Regional Sales Managers and/or Distributors to the untapped customer / end user installed base.
  • Interface with the various internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and compliant sales process
  • Participate in the overall commercial process rhythm
  • Engage with regional sales and applications engineering teams in order to address customer challenges raised during customer engagements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited school
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, business development, application engineering (or any other role with direct contact with customers)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working with rotating machines (electric motors and generators)

Desired Characteristics
  • Experience dealing with Engineering areas from EPCs and Endusers
  • Experience selling or working with customers on Medium voltage motors
