About This Role
Biogen’s Marketing teams are on the front lines every day, ensuring that our products have the right visibility for the patients who need them most. We manage multiple global brands, support Biogen’s existing portfolio of therapies and help prepare new drug approvals for launch. We work from a deep understanding of the science behind our therapies and the disease areas that they treat.

You will develop and lead the medical education strategy and drive tactical execution for an established product in our multiple sclerosis (MS) portfolio. Reporting to the Director of HCP Marketing, you will be a strong contributor to the MS marketing and brand teams and ensure Biogen effectively responds to market changes in a proactive and competitive way.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development of all Medical Education initiatives including:
    • Key Medical Expert (KME) engagement to include consultancies
    • Advisory boards, including the selection of appropriate advisors, to seek feedback from thought leaders
    • Develop the content for HCP peer-to-peer programming, train the speakers, analyze insights, and measure program performance
    • Medical congress strategy and tactical execution
  • Collaborate with Customer and Market Insights and cross-functional teams to deliver MS franchise HCP segmentation and appropriately tailor HCP messaging
  • Serve as brand lead for competitive intelligence and response
  • Gain approval for marketing strategies and tactics through the internal review processes, ensuring that all activities follow regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Partner with brand and medical cross-functional teams as appropriate to identify most compelling, relevant, and competitive strategies and tactics for HCPs
  • Serve as brand connector for key internal stakeholders including Global Publications team, Customer Experience team, Key Account Manager liaisons, and Program Operations
  • Ensure sales force selling resources are optimized for execution

Qualifications

  • Seasoned commercial professional in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing
  • Senior Product Manager: 5-7 years of experience
  • Associate Director: 8-10 years of experience
  • Experience in neurology and particularly in Multiple Sclerosis is a plus
  • Demonstrated strategic brand management and analytical capabilities
  • Extensive marketing experience with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience with tangible examples of taking marketing initiatives from strategy through to execution
  • Ability to make decisions based on limited information to deliver an optimal customer experience
  • High-level project management skills
  • Agency management experience preferred

Biogen’s US Alzheimer’s Franchise is looking to recruit proven and ambitious sales achievers with at least five years of experience in pharma, specialty, hospital, med device/capital equipment, and/or biotech sales.
In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
