Technical Communicator, Experienced

Job Summary

Researches, designs, and prepares process documentation, system instructions, and job aids. Employs appropriate document development methodologies and defined standards to ensure that documentation is easy to understand, concise, accurate, and relevant.

Uses established procedures, and working under supervision, performs work of minimal complexity, often assisting more experienced staff members with the task-oriented aspects of their assignments. Work normally overseen by higher level technical contributors. Responsible for small, defined elements of large projects, including work that supports the overall documentation program.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong writing skills; ability to document process flows and system applications
  • Strong technical skills
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to learn the skills, internal procedures, standards, and tools needed to satisfactorily complete assign ed tasks
  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and 3 years prior relevant experience
  • Proficiency with a variety of software applications: Word, Visio, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Standard
  • Experience with the following applications a plus: Information Mapping: FS Pro and/or FS Pro 2020, Documentum and SharePoint

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
