The Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) team is developing future products in augmented reality and virtual reality that will enable groundbreaking experiences for consumers and businesses. We are hiring for an experienced Technical Program Manager to support the FRL Identity development team. The Identity team works to manage the overall system of user accounts, access, and profiles across AR/VR devices, and across the suites of Oculus and Facebook services. This is a growing area of investment for FRL involving the coordination of large, cross-functional efforts to ensure we grow capabilities while maintaining a seamless user experience. The work of the Identity team spans a broad spectrum, including UX design, engineering, privacy, security, legal, and more. You will establish requirements with the internal team as well as cross-functional partners and dependent teams, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Experience with navigating trade-offs around complexity and UX clarity is critical. The ideal candidate is energized by working cross-functionally and having broad impact, is passionate about the future of AR and VR computing, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.

  • Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
  • Knowledge with project and issue tracking systems.
