Summary

Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that helps partners grow their business using the Facebook platform. In this role, we're looking for someone who enjoys product ownership, collaboration, and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical, and business skills to make our partners successful.You will engage with some of the world's most influential products and product teams, where you will help execute the company's top priorities by building beautiful, efficient, internal software. You will work on the digital supply chain for Facebook's family of apps and develop the system we use to move and measure content all over the globe. As a Partner Engineer, you will have a holistic understanding of Facebook's business strategies. The candidate will focus on building front-end, high quality, and high performance user interfaces.

Required Skills

  • Be responsible for all aspects of software development, architecting and shipping reliable front-end systems
  • Implement and maintain complex web applications for Facebook's global digital supply chain
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
  • Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
  • Understand landscape and provide insight into how strategic issues affect product development
  • Drive the delivery of new projects and/or systems that increase efficiency and scalability with minimal oversight
  • Lead technical strategy and roadmap for long-term strategic partners with high level of autonomy/own and navigate long term technical relationship with partners
  • Identify risk to Facebook and partners, seek to address partner problems independently or in collaboration with internal resources
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships and collaborate globally to effectively remove barriers
  • Proactively communicate feedback, updates, status to direct team as well as relevant cross-functional teams
  • Create developer documentation and deliver presentations in public-facing environments (partner meetings, events, etc.)
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders to guide strategy and support their business objectives using Facebook platform products
  • Architect product solution and scale operational models through tools and process implementation
  • Assist in onboarding, and mentoring team members


Minimum Qualification

  • 7+ years of experience as software engineer, building new projects from the ground up
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
  • Experience with Web technology stack (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, REST)
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Relay, and Redux
  • Experience with modern CSS techniques


Preferred Qualification

  • Experience developing complex, consumer-facing products
  • Knowledge with PHP, MySQL, or GraphQL
  • Knowledge of digital supply chains or Content Management Systems
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment
