What We’re Looking For:

Walmart InHome is looking for an entrepreneurial, hard-working Product UI/UX Designer to join our team of designers, engineers, and business operations people to bring a new, one-of-kind service to market and help it grow. We’re looking for a great design storyteller who is passionate about the details and always strives for simplicity to delight our customers.

Day-to-day you'll report directly to and work closely with the Head of Design to bring a product from concept to launch. Interweaving hardware, software, and physical product you'll use storytelling, color, typography, and composition to bring cohesion and simplicity to complex, disparate parts. The end goal: to make our customers' lives easier.

What You'll Do:
  • Dive deeply into problems to concept, wireframe, and design end-to-end UI/UX projects, then provide clean and thoughtful visual design for web and app platforms (iOS and Android).
  • Work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Operations team to understand use cases, objectives, scope, and constraints.
  • Communicate complicated new paradigms in the Smart Home and eCommerce space.
  • Create new visual design systems, as well as design new functionality within an existing design ecosystem.
  • Clearly and effectively lead new feature design presentation meetings with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist and work collaboratively across the InHome Design Team on all projects involving design across multiple media and materials, including Digital Product, UI/UX, Graphic Design, Presentation Design, Physical Product & Prototyping, Industrial Design, Marketing Design, and Packaging & Print Design.
  • Develop digital and physical brand touchpoints that delight customers.
  • Elevate Walmart’s brand with refined and thoughtful design.


About You:
  • 5+ years of experience, with a degree in Design or similar.
  • Specialty in either app design or web design; a facility with both is a plus.
  • Ability to design in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and other creative tools.
  • Experience working with Zeplin, Figma, InVision, or other collaboration and prototyping tools a plus.
  • Illustration, animation, or motion graphics skills a plus.
  • Passionate about emerging technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently.
  • Creatively resourceful; you get things done efficiently.
  • Comfortable with creative exploration and willing to experiment.
  • Desire to work in a nimble start-up environment.
  • Passion for simplicity and elegant design.
  • Have a keen and exceptional visual eye.
