We are looking for an experienced Engineering Technical Staff Manager to join our Model-Based Agile Engineering department. In the role, you will provide guidance, leadership, and management to a team of 20+ engineers who are leading our digital transformation. You will also serve as a valued advisor, leader, and manager for key activities and investments in our digital engineering transformation roadmap.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills and technical leadership as you will be a key leader and mentor in the team, employing leadership, presence, and influence to foster teamwork and execution. You will provide oversight of the execution of MBAE principles and practices throughout all phases of the lifecycle, including process tailoring, requirements development, architecture development, design, integration and test, transition to production, and product support.

Responsibilities include:
  • Workforce planning, recruiting, and hiring for the MBAE team
  • Managing staff allocations to support proposals, projects, and initiatives
  • Providing performance feedback and career mentoring for the MBAE team
  • Tracking program execution through metrics and technical reviews
  • Providing technical support to programs through proposal and cost estimation reviews, participation in independent design reviews, architecture review boards and other technical reviews
  • Managing engineering initiatives and investment projects (budget and schedule)

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 12+ year(s) related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications

Required Skills:
  • Proven engineering and leadership skills with experience in product architecting, design, and delivery
  • Familiarity with digital engineering and model-based engineering processes, tools, and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning, management, and delivery
  • Familiarity with Agile project management and adaptive staff planning
  • US Citizenship and ability to be granted a security clearance by the Federal Government
