Daikin Industries is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Business Development Manager position. The Business Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of new business development for both the COD & Independent channels to insure sales and market share goals are met. Additionally, determine sales and technical training needs for the Division and execute the plan to deliver those needs. Also, manage and develop the Regional Tech Managers to ensure customer needs are requirements met or exceeded. This position is also responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with customers to ensure sales and market share goals are met. Responsibilities

May include, in addition to;
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers' missions, capabilities, and business posture.
  • Assist in creating strategic growth initiatives and strategies for expanding opportunities for Independent Distributors and dealers
  • Take action to insure business development goals are being executed and measured.
  • Conduct business development through lead generation and qualification for a defined assignment.
  • Identify technical requirements, buying influences and project scope for departmental and enterprise business Intelligence software implementations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Directors to develop and track growth strategies with our independent distributors
  • Work with the Regional Managers and the Regional Sales Directors to avoid and/or resolve dealer conflicts
  • Conduct extensive market analysis including pricing, completion, market share and potential market revenue to understand the market dynamics and what is needed to increase customer acquisition and sales growth
  • Identify markets that are underperforming, work with the regional managers and regional sales directors to develop and provide solutions to meet current goals
  • Identify potential new independent distributors
  • Maintain full tracking and reporting of all activities including customer contacts, jobs being worked on, status of those jobs and any additional information deemed appropriate by supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field strongly preferred. May consider relevant equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of proven business development experience
  • Uses sales and negotiation skills to expand our customer base, increase sales volume and meet sales goals and targets.
  • Proven track record of sales, marketing, profit and business development growth.
  • Strong ability to influence, interact and sell to a wide spectrum of clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC products including ductless and services, customers, decision makers, sales processes and market trends.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as good verbal and written skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and employees
  • Strong technical background with mechanical engineering, service, installation and application experience
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Goal-oriented, highly confident, self-motivated.
  • Strategic Thinker.
  • Adaptable to all new challenges.
  • Ability to create and conduct training seminars
