The Patient Experience Specialist will spend the majority of time making phone calls and working with Medicare patients. The Growth Specialist is responsible for growing doctors' membership panels, specifically focused on Medicare Advantage.

If you are located in Pheonix, AZ you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Make phone calls to current and prospective Medicare population
  • Comply with regulatory and company policies for marketing materials and communications
  • Implement and coordinate new growth strategies
  • Keep informed of new or modified business strategies and act quickly to operationalize
  • Support Medicare products
  • Drive Medicare product sales
  • Develop strategies and tactical plans to support consumer / member growth
  • Grow and maintain effective relationships with department, staff, Senior Management, vendors, payers, public
  • Perform additional duties as assigned ( you will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location)


*This is an office based position, however, telecommuters who reside in the greater Phoenix, Arizona market may be considered. The physical office or clinic locations are in Phoenix, AZ and the employee will be expected to work on-site during the week and travel up to 20%.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare working towards metric based goals or sales experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining effective relationships with department, staff, Senior Management, vendors, payers, public
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within assigned markets
  • Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience interfacing effectively internally with all levels of staff including physicians, office staff, and patients
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of health care administration, clinic philosophy and policies and operating procedures
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage
  • Skill in exercising initiative, judgement, problem solving, decision making
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Ability to monitor compliance standards
  • Proven strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills with effective follow through
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
