Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts. Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts. Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery as it pertains to Practice Operations. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. Main areas of focus includes, but not limited to Practice Operational Improvement, Denials Avoidance, Practice Time of Service Cash Collections, Scheduling, Registration, Insurance Verification, Eligibility, etc. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales. Heavier Focus on New Client Assessments and Due Diligence. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including 'OTH' plans) belong in a sales band.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
  • Performs complex conceptual analyses
  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Forecasts and plans resource requirements
  • Authorizes deviations from standards
  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects
  • Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
  • Motivates and inspires other team members

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 + years of experience in end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience
  • 3 + years of experience with accounts receivables
  • 3 + years of experience with denials management
  • Analysis experience using analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy to relay process improvement plans back to client
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Excel (general spreadsheet navigation, date entry and analysis), Microsoft PowerPoint (creating and editing slides for presentations) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar)
  • Must be able to work CST and/or EST during standard business hours local time (M-F)
  • Must be able to travel between office and client's site between Irving, TX and East Coast locations based on business needs
  • Ability to Travel up to 80%
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project (designing and organizing project plans) and Microsoft Visio (design and illustrate process flows)
  • SQL (writing and executing queries)
  • Prior experience identifying data trends and issues
  • Strong experience in statistics and using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
  • Able to communicate and navigate effectively across a matrix organization
  • Ability to probe, analyze, synthesize, and articulate complex subject matter so it can be easily understood back to client

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
