Business Unit: Global Fund Finance

Position Title: Finance - Global Fund Finance - RE Drawdowns, Associate

Description: This position will be involved in fund accounting, financial reporting and operations for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds ("BREP") and its underlying investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the funds' quarterly close process and reporting to the public company

  • Responsible for the funds' quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements

  • Responsible for work paper supporting schedules for financial statement accounts

  • Coordinate with both internal and external auditors with all aspects of the annual audit and SOX 404 compliant

  • Responsible for maintaining and reviewing the waterfall data for management fee, contribution and distribution calculations

  • Responsible for the preparation of investor management fee, contribution and distribution notices

  • Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures

  • Responsible for the prompt response to investors' requests

  • Manage, train and develop staff in India to assist with accounting and operational work

  • Assist with the testing and implementation of initiatives to improve and streamline fund accounting functions


Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

  • 4-6 years of Big 4 experience in the private equity industry (Preferably private equity experience)

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting

  • CPA or graduate degree preferred

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized

  • Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude

  • Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
