Job Description

• Provide Technical Support to teams for Development environment support for workstation infrastructure and application installs
• Provide Technical Support to teams for Production environment support for workstation infrastructure and application installs
• Review, analyze, and create detailed technical documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer systems and/or programs.
• Define and document business requirements and business processes
• Coordinate the development of all approved versions of business and functional specifications for specified applications.
• Review use cases and other technical documents with IT project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents.
• Communicate complex technical problems and solutions to business partners in clear, simple language they can understand and link back to business processes and requirements
• Develop and document a detailed solution design within SDS, impart your subject matter expertise throughout life cycle.
• Participate in complex applications and systems development, programming.
• Propose solution options; generate stakeholder support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on project estimates.
• Produce top-notch functional, technical and user interface designs.
• Take business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance and development standards requirements, then develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application and/or system.
• Consult on development of the System Requirements Specification (SRS).
• Review technical deliverables for quality throughout detailed design and development phase, identify gaps or redesign as needed.
• Define metrics and performance goals with technology partners and peers.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Middleware both Linux and windows based - WebSphere a plus
    Multi-Tiered application administration
    Active Directory familiarity
    Self-starter who can figure things out with minimal guidance
    Service Now experience
    Good writing skills
    Basic Linux experience to include SSH, VI, log searching and review, understanding file permissions, check for running processes
    Jira, confluence, SharePoint experience advisable
    Basic SQL based database structure and administration skills
    Good verbal communication and ability to explain complex functions in non-technical ways
    The ability to "take the lead" (understood as assertive) with regards to dealing with multiple teams
