The Salesforce (SF) Application Manager is accountable for delivering on the SF business strategy and structure for the North American Commercial Bank across lending and TPS. The individual works with SF Strategy Director, business stakeholders and end users to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements. The SF Manager collects, clarifies, and translates business requirements into tactical and strategic solution designs from which process, reporting and analytics can be developed. The role collaborates and coordinates efforts with business partners, technology and data/reporting and analytics team members to ensure that the sales effort is supported with a high value, user friendly SF application with relevant content.

A key component of this role will be to understand related initiatives (Reporting/Analytics, Customer 360, E2E etc.), to ensure delivery of both connectivity and alignment of the functionality of SF and to provide the enhanced intelligence that the interrelationship of these projects will create. SF Manager will ensure enhancements are thoroughly tested and assist with application training as needed.

The role will help develop strategies to drive adoption by all users in order to ensure inclusion of data critical to BMO North American Commercial Bank's sales and client retention effort. Working to drive data integrity by designing a data cleansing process will also be important.

Strategy & Planning
  • Participate in Sales Advisory Committee with key business users to help support and guide system enhancement decisions. Drive strategic SF product planning with key business partners
  • Ensure that the Sf solution fully meets the needs of the business by assisting with appropriate prioritization of resolution of systems-related issues and development of enhancements
  • Work with other inflight project leaders to ensure that SF can support and drive customer experience and client expansion where applicable
  • Work with technology to establish expectations, testing approaches, and strategic direction for the SFf application
  • Maintain competitive technology intelligence and identify emerging technology offerings to enhance the SF platform


Managerial Leadership, Relationship Management and Collaboration
  • In coordination with SF Strategy Team, develop and implement strong data quality processes and rules to enhance use of data for reporting and analytics
  • Ensure business needs can be met through application's existing data capture to support enhanced reporting and analytics
  • Understands business problems, opportunities and data in the context of the requirements and recommends solution(s) that enable the stakeholders to achieve the stated goals objectives
  • Partner with broader business intelligence team members to ensure consistent reporting and analytics available across reporting platforms
  • Represent BMO Commercial Bank in related systems development and systems implementation projects, ensure that the business is appropriately represented and that business requirements are understood and addressed


Business Program Execution
  • Adheres to the recommended requirements, processes, and practices which support the departmental standards and ensure consistency of deliverables
  • Identifies and documents the business partners' functional and data requirements based on business process and reporting needs to ensure that the final deliverable coincides with the context of the business operations
  • Manages and documents the translation of business needs into requirements for reporting and analytics, activities and deliverables, necessary to meet business objectives
  • Creates procedures, templates, resources, and tools for documentation aligned with established standards
  • Identifies discrepancies between business needs and deliverables, when reviewing and validating requirements, and communicates with stakeholders to affect a resolution
  • Understands and utilizes available data sources for analysis and requirement purposes
  • Coordinate and participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing to ensure solution feasibility as well as system stability
  • Provide a business rationale and understanding to Technology partners in order to align systems development with business objectives
  • Monitor project delivery and cost
  • Ensure appropriate tools, training and documentation are in place to support adoption effort.
