Pharmacy Representative

Job Description
Coram/CVS Health is looking for customer service-oriented professionals to join our team as an Administrative Pharmacy Representative. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will work alongside our pharmacists by communicating with patients, Physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding the coordination of home infusion orders. You will be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory, gathering and organizing patient information, and ensuring patient documentation is up to date in our electronic database. At Coram, we believe that Pharmacy Representatives are a key part of maintaining constant communication between our branch team members and clients, therefore creating a positive experience for our patients.

As a Pharmacy Representative, you will

- Maintain inventory levels by placing orders and/or receiving drugs/medical supplies.
- Stock pharmacy with appropriate drugs and supplies and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Receive and route telephone calls, arrange shipment dates, and assist in referral intake as needed
- Maintain patient files, generate prescription paperwork/labels, and clinical paperwork
- Create communication notes based on patient contact
- Prepare pharmaceuticals for future compounding and non-compounded pharmaceuticals
- Pack and ship pharmaceuticals to patients
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Constant standing and walking for duration of shift (8-10 hours)
- Constant talking and hearing
- Constant use of hands and fingers, handle or feel objects with the ability to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Typical work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, between 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with an opportunity for over-time based on business need.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year customer service experience
- Minimum one year experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
- Experience in home health and/or healthcare industry
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Certified Pharmacy Technician

Education
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
