Regional Pharmacy Technician

Job Description
Regional float position that will support the Western region with pharmacy technician staffing, education and training.

Follows all appropriate guidelines for the preparation of compounded sterile products - product preparation, checking procedures, labeling procedures, and packaging compounded product for storage and delivery.
 Prepares and maintains the pharmacy clean room suite and all dedicated equipment.
 Performs and maintains documentation of IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing.
 Completes appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports.
 Assists in training and orientation of new pharmacy technicians.
 Performs and instructs inventory management and storage.
 Participates and instructs in performance improvement, quality assurance and in-service activities.
 Communicates appropriately with all members of the healthcare team.
 Complies with the Company's policy on the allowable clean room garb and dress code requirements.
 Travels based on branch assignments and when needed.
 Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Western region - AZ, CA, CO, NM, ID, NV, UT, OR, WA.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
 Minimum five years of pharmacy technician experience.
 Eligibility for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations.
 National pharmacy technician certification required.
 Demonstrated IV admixture skills and abilities.
 Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications
3-5 Years of sterile compounding experience

High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
