About the Job

We are looking for a motivated experienced Chip Architect to join a cutting-edge team driving the development of next generation SerDes PHY for state-of-the-art Self-driving, Autonomous Vehicles, and networking products. In this role, you will be a key member in defining the chip level architecture, modulation scheme, algorithms and DSP requirements for next generation products. In addition, you will be developing and maintaining system level modeling platform to drive product level and sub-system specifications. Working well in a team environment as well as ability to build strong and influential relationships with other leaders would be essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Driving high-level assessment and analysis for chip and system level architectures to ensure meeting specification compliance matrices at a competitive cost
  • Translating marketing and customer requirements to chip-chip, sub-system and product level specifications as well as driving design teams for associated targets
  • Defining chip level architecture, modulation, algorithms, advanced equalizations and DSP requirements for next generation products constrained by power and area
  • Developing behavioral and system level models to assess various chip level, sub-system and circuit architectures for link margin, budget and performance metrices
  • Being involved, drive validation and characterization of critical IPs, while achieving tight silicon correlation versus sub-system models

Minimum Requirements
  • MS. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing or Communication Systems
  • Strong time management skills, be result oriented and committed to on-time deliverables
  • In-depth understanding of high performance analog mixed signal circuit IC designs, CDR, DLL, advanced equalizations schemes and signal integrity fundamentals
  • Direct hands-on industrial experience in SerDes architectures such as 25Gbps+ NRZ and 56Gbps+ PAM4 (DFE and ADC/DAC-DSP based solutions)
  • Hands on experience in developing various LMS algorithms, CDR solutions and applying them to DFE, VGA and CTLE circuits while assessing their interoperability
  • Hands on experience in developing models for AMS sub-systems and DSP based PHYs with emphasis on mixed mode and ADC/DAC-DSP based solutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills, while b eing motivated to take initiative to drive for results and closure
  • Background and/or coursework in digital communication, signal processing and digitally assisted calibration circuits for high-performance analog mixed signal circuits
  • Prior experience in high-performance ADCs, DACs, extreme low-jitter PLLs, CDRs, DLLs and clock distribution schemes for 25Gbps+ SerDes systems
  • Prior experience or exposure to end-end IC design cycles in cadence using advanced deep sub-micron CMOS technologies such as 28nm, 22nm, 16nm FinFET and smaller
