About the role:

This day and age data is super crucial, it can tell a story and help make decisions from very small to extremely impactful, but data is entirely useless unless we have sharp and creative data champions transform and translate it to something your colleagues and business partners can understand and take action on. Which leads us to why we need a hardworking developer to join our fun and dynamic Security team. This individual will collaborate with teammates on the Security Data and Analytics team, whose primary function is to take large data feeds from security applications across the network spectrum and make that data accessible for decision makers. This individual will integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities, act as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. It's exciting opportunity to have an impact on how data is ingested and creating the ability to transform data in a fun consumable way.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project partners to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Develop ETL pipelines that ingest raw data from cloud-based sources (AWS, GCP, Azure) and transform that data into structured Delta tables using Databricks.
  • Integrate data from various sources into normalized tables and views in Snowflake to support data delivery via dashboards, applications, and SQL endpoint users.
  • Establish effective measurement and reporting methodologies to manage performance and effectiveness of key security programs through the development and deployment of dynamic dashboards and reports using Tableau.
  • Develop Security Event Monitoring strategies using standard "baseline" methodologies and advanced correlation techniques with OSINT, related systems and applications, and other data sources to enhance overall security posture and service to our customers.
  • Analyze new and existing technologies, processes, and services to build new services and solutions to deliver to business and residential customers. Partner with product teams to provide technical leadership and guidance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop a strong rapport across a variety of technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of utilizing dataframes to search, analyze and transform large data sets. Pyspark and/or Databricks experience is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of SQL database queries, with proven practical experience in planning, developing and creating database structures and objects.
  • Substantial experience connecting to and solving problems a wide range of database/data source types.
  • Working knowledge of core AWS services. This includes but is not limited to S3, SQS, SNS and IAM.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with network or security data such as proxy, packet capture, Bro/Zeek, and other security related tools is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux shell commands.

Pay Range: $98,775.49 - $148,163.24

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
