Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products, and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps. These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations, and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Robotic Process Automation experience in at least 3 out of 4 areas (web, Windows, Citrix & green screen)
  • Analyze business process and identifying automation opportunities and assess automation feasibility
  • Analyzing, understanding, and documenting the business processes in detail where required
  • Develop AS - IS and TO - BE process flows
  • Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements to deploy automation solutions
  • Configuring new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, re - usable, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand using Automation tools
  • Creating and maintaining solution documentation
  • Problem solving issues that arise in daily running of RPA processes and providing timely responses / solutions as required
  • Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery / project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre - UAT phases
  • Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
  • Analyzes and investigates
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years of experience in RPA development, using UI Path (or similar - Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism)
  • 1+ years of experience in scripting languages, such as VB Script, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience leading automation development projects
  • Solid design principles and modular programming techniques
  • Ability to understand the business process as well as create process flow diagrams
  • Ability to lead and build the project to deliver automation solutions as per the requirements
  • Proficiency with databases, such as Sql Server or Oracle
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Word
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (including macros)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience with .Net
  • Experience in TDD (Test - Driven Development)
  • Experience in creating dashboards from UI Path Insights
  • Experience in other automation tools, such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
