As a key member of the State Fee Schedule team, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission of helping people live healthier lives. As a Senior Analyst, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage various state fee schedule updates. You will be challenged to transform, analyze, and review data for standardization. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through creating product that helps to streamline the bill review process.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Obtain, analyze, review and transform data
  • Communicate directly with state employees regarding fee schedule, rules and guidelines
  • Monitor and maintain various state workers' compensation fee schedule information
  • Summarize information regarding state rules and guidelines
  • Review colleague work for accuracy
  • Present research, analysis and interpretation for colleagues and clients
  • Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
  • Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
  • Develop, build and manage databases containing workers' compensation fee schedule information

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience with data transformation and data standardization
  • 3+ workers' compensation reimbursement and workers' compensation fee schedules
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL scripting
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of CMS Medicare fee schedules (RBRVS, CLAB, DMEPOS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of general healthcare billing, code sets and fee schedules
  • Experience gathering requirements from various sources and documenting processes
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel and Word)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate rules, guidelines, and methodologies to clients and the business in writing and verbally
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate data
  • Ability to work under tight timelines

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
