**Please Note** - The office is based in Las Vegas, NV. You must be available to work the following hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Time**

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and edit medical claims for submission, both hardcopy and electronically, to various payors and clearinghouses
  • Batch and deposit preparation of daily payments received
  • Post payments, contractual adjustments and denials to the patient accounts in the practice management system ensuring reconciliation of all posted data.
  • Assists in the identification and resolution of outstanding credit balances and overpayments on accounts (self-pay and/or commercial payor)
  • Review and process the daily correspondence to correct or update inquiries from insurance carriers
  • Follow-up and collect outstanding aged trial balance reports, including but not limited to oral and written communications
  • Assist in other job functions within the assigned team
  • Resolve most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 1+ years of medical or DME or pharmacy billing experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Demonstrated high level of organization and ability to multi-task
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with payment posting, appeals, customer service. and AR follow-up
  • Experience with training personnel
  • Knowledge of payor guidelines- specifically government and commercial payors
  • Overpayment/credit experience
