Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform the Clinical Breast Exam (CBE)
  • Offer educational information about breast health and breast disease
  • Provide same day imaging results to patients and help to prepare them for their next step if needed (i.e. biopsy, MRI)
  • Work with the Breast Care team to assist the patient with surgical consultation and emotional support when needed
  • Help to ensure that all patients receive the care that is needed in a timely manner
  • Document treatment plans in the medical record
  • Collaborate with physician and document physician guidance as needed
  • Coordinate care for patients
  • Exposure to patients with potential infectious disease

Required Qualifications:
  • APRN or PA-C licensure in Nevada, or ability to obtain
  • DEA or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • 1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Women's Health clinic setting
  • Working knowledge of breast imaging, BIRADS scoring, and general breast health
  • Clinical Breast Exam Certification or ability to earn certification through the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC)
  • Ability to formulate a differential diagnosis
  • Ability to complete clinical care lifting in a provider office environment
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to conceptualize the needs for the team or department and actualize plans for implementation
  • Ability to develop plans of action and gain team consensus towards common goals
  • Intermediate level of technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or Internet search for clinical practice
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and localmasking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification through the NCBC
  • A background in managed care
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
  • Experience using Touchworks Electronic Health Record
