Senior Project Lead - Mergers & Acquisitions

Summary of Position Responsibilities

The required position requires a candidate who can support M&A Business Analysis, by leading critical program management efforts to advance enterprise-wide M&A initiatives for post-deal execution. Wil apply strong program management and consulting skills to support enterprise-wide M&A initiatives including process improvement, management reporting, cost reduction, and shared service implementation. The successful candidate will leverage strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and team orientation to build partnerships and work successfully with Business and IT teams, developing and delivering well-organized presentations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the execution of program workstreams objectives and change programs, with an understanding of the implications for new and/or revised strategies on day-to-day operations
  • Administer governance processes to ensure appropriate rigor for our legal and compliance commitments
  • Ensure complete and accurate SOW development for exit projects; Identify key risks / issues; escalate issues
  • Execute on processes to support service exits; oversee mapping of dependencies between services
  • Facilitate due diligence focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current and future state business processes and supporting technology
  • Capture relevant data to support management reporting needs; align program reporting with broader enterprise reporting processes
  • Leverage internal and external stakeholders to deliver assigned components of programs, including those related to vendor management, human resources, operations, technology, internal audit, marketing, finance, legal, and compliance
  • Identify financial and operational trends, issues, and risks, and escalate appropriately; d rive status meetings, workshops, requirements gathering efforts, and planning sessions
  • Ensure timely / accurate billing and financial control

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance & Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial & Operations Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale initiatives in complex organizations
  • Exceptional, analytical, communication, prioritization, and program management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to change gears quickly and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Exercise good judgment and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism at all times

Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry (as employee or consultant) ideally insurance with retail products
  • 3+ years of M&A related experience ideally post-deal
  • Experience in planning and implementing integration and separation projects as the result of M&A activity
  • Deep understanding of business processes, project management methodologies, and leading practices
  • Experience with portfolio, program and project management, and transformational change
