Department Overview

The Service Transition TMO Project Manager role resides within our Central Managed Services Operations. The TMO will support the Global Services Transition team with a focus on prioritizing initiatives, establishing clear goals, and driving adherence to agreed completion dates for Centralized Managed Services Operations (CMSO). The team will ensure operational readiness for projects while managing risk for new, changed and retired services. The Transformation Office (TMO) is responsible for the registration of all CMSO projects, managing the Planview tool for the business, as well as developing and maintaining reporting, templates, and processes as related to Services Transition Team and project management within.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Assist in administration of the Planview tool for CMSO projects
  • Participates in development and maintenance of utilization metrics
  • Data validation and auditing of the CMSO projects in Planview
  • Auditing of Google CMSO project folders ensuring all project documentation is completed and kept in the appropriate storage
  • Auditing of Service Transition teams for compliance to the standard processes in place
  • Assist with standardization of folder structure, new initiatives, presentations, Service Transition Google Site maintenance, and reporting
  • Assisting in standardization in all Service Transition processes and procedures
  • Participates in Service Transition review and status meetings
  • Will be involved in resource utilization simulation
  • Involved in Interlocks with Global teams
  • Work on standardization and process improvement with all Service Transition teams: Service Readiness, Customer Onboarding, Configuration Management, Change Management, and Service Delivery Enablement


Desired Skill Sets
  • Familiarity with waterfall and agile development methodologies and their associated quality assurance methods
  • Demonstrates competency with office tools (e.g. MS Office and Google Suite) and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrates competency with a project management tool (e.g. Planview, MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or a SaaS PPM Tool)
  • Understanding of Software Development and Deployment Lifecycle Agile/Scrum Certification an added advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Highly organized, structured, and process oriented; team building skills a plus
  • Able to simplify a complex situation and provide updates accordingly
  • PMI Certified PMP and ITIL certifications will be an advantage
  • Good understanding of Radio Systems, Command Center, 9.1.1, and Video solutions
  • Call center experience a plus
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management including ITIL framework and service management tools (e.g., BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Service Manager) will be an added advantage
  • Tableau experience needed
