Senior Product Manager, Healthcare Professional (HCP) Marketing - Non-Personal Promotion

Biogen’s Marketing teams are on the front lines every day, ensuring that our products have the right visibility for the patients who need them most. We manage multiple global brands, support Biogen’s existing portfolio of therapies and help prepare new drug approvals for launch. We work from a deep understanding of the science behind our therapies and the disease areas that they treat.

You will be responsible for developing and executing against the HCP non-personal promotion strategy for an established product in our multiple sclerosis (MS) portfolio. Reporting to the Director of HCP Marketing, you will be a strong contributor to the MS marketing and brand teams and ensure Biogen effectively responds to market changes in a proactive and competitive way.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure that the relevant intersections of consumer/patient non-personal promotion are considered
    • Develop HCP digital marketing strategy, considerate of HCP segmentation and tailored engagement approaches
    • Assume full ownership for all non-personal assets including banner advertisements, journal ads, optimized email streams, best-in-class website, etc.
    • Optimize home office email stream in alignment with next best action initiative
  • Responsible for HCP media planning, optimization, and execution. Serve as point of contact for media agency
  • Effectively lead external and internal creative agencies ensuring that key deliverables are met
  • Utilize customer and marketplace insights (including gaining feedback directly from key customers) to identify initiatives that advance the brand. Execute tactics that deliver upon identified insights
  • Serve as a brand connector for key stakeholders including the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) team; responsible for executing against all REMS and/or TOUCH-On-Line updates
  • Gain approval for marketing strategies and tactics through the internal review processes, ensuring that all activities follow regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Seasoned commercial professional with 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience
    • Consulting or agency experience welcome
    • Experience in neurology and particularly in Multiple Sclerosis is a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated marketing experience with tangible examples of taking strategy through to execution
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to influence without authority (able to effectively lead cross-functional teams)
  • High-level project management skills
  • Agency management experience preferred

Biogen’s US Alzheimer’s Franchise is looking to recruit proven and ambitious sales achievers with at least five years of experience in pharma, specialty, hospital, med device/capital equipment, and/or biotech sales.
In this field-based, specialty sales representative position you will be called upon to sell our products with key stakeholders in the Alzheimer’s Disease community: including Neurologists and allied health professionals.
