(USA) Manager II, Technical Project Management

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Conceive, validate, and communicate impactful risk insights to guide IT risk management activities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing retail technology environment.

Execute a project management approach that easily adapts to evolving stakeholder requirements and competing demands to deliver timely, highly reliable data that accurately characterizes current and emerging technology risk.

Understand business objectives, account for corporate policy compliance and external regulatory requirements, monitor ongoing technology solution design and implementation, and adapt the risk assessment approach accordingly.

Advance organizational IT risk management maturity by integrating risk management efforts early and throughout the technology development life cycle.

Support the development and execution of risk management initiatives across the global organization in response to identified technology risk factors. Contribute to the design of effective business and technology controls in partnership with product and compliance stakeholders.

Demonstrate up-to-date technical and business expertise and apply this to the optimization of enterprise technology risk identification, solution planning, and remediation of issues. Leverage emerging technologies (e.g., rapid automation) to bring unique and insightful solutions to business and technology stakeholders.

Exemplify effective verbal and written communications skills, aid team development and communication of logical, convincing support for proposals, include appropriate business and technology stakeholders in building consensus, and drive consistent departmental messaging through peer, subordinate, and senior leadership collaboration.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with IT, Compliance, and Internal Audit stakeholders. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and offshore support teams to align vendor and internal resources with a common project delivery strategy, team communications, and results delivery.

Model conformity with company core principles (e.g. basic beliefs) and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the team ways of working. Demonstrate and teach team how to apply these behaviors in their daily functions.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager II, IT Governance, Risk & Compliance for Walmart, this is a high profile role which will provide you with the opportunity to broaden your horizons and gain significant global exposure.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years’ experience in information technology, risk management, technology audit, or business-related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Finance, or business-related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Certification in auditing, controls, risk management, process optimization: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Lean Six Sigma, ITIL
  • Experience in compliance/regulatory control design and testing (e.g. SOX, PCI, HIPAA)
