E-Health Senior Implementation Consultant

Promotes and services new and existing web-based, electronic health record exchange capabilities to enhance
the overall operating relationship with the provider community. Leading project efforts for clinical data exchange with multiple external provider organizations and internal business partners.
Responsible for the increase of electronic health record exchange solution utilization with medical providers.
Provides education and support to newly enrolled providers on fundamentals of electronic health record exchange capabilities and solutions. Highly collaborative process which typically requires managing relationships across multiple functional areas and levels, internally and externally. In addition, serves as lead on department projects, initiatives and business plans as needed.

Job Requirements Include:
Oversees the development of regional and market specific e-Health strategic plans and ensures execution against goals and objectives

Coordinates with Core, regional and market management to establish specific objectives and targets associated with desired transaction levels for selected products

Partners with regional and market management to effectively integrate e-Health strategy into regional/market business plans

Participates in vendor identification, selection and relationship management for contracted vendors associated with regional/market e-Health efforts

Identifies future opportunities to leverage Aetna e-business opportunities within the provider community and expand existing e-Health applications

Required Qualifications
Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications and/or clinical data sets.

Knowledge of clinical interfaces using healthcare standards (HL7, CCD, CCDA, HISP, Direct Messaging, and/or HIE platforms).

Strong collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to work across organizational lines to build consensus and facilitate consensual decision making.

Knowledgeable of HIPAA, privacy and transaction guidelines.

Familiarity with electronic vendors, EDI (healthcare industry), and cost benefit structure of electronic connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications
Maintain collaborative working relationships with external vendors, providers, and applicable 3rd parties

Participate in related IT project activity as appropriate

Advanced knowledge of provider electronic transactions

3-5 years related work experience, working with Providers/Vendors

Ability to represent organization and company in external meeting and/or healthcare venues.

Very strong interpersonal, relationship management, writing and presentation skill

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; advanced degree and management experience preferred.
