NPD Portfolio / Business Process Manager

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a NPD Portfolio / Business Process Manager.

The NPD Portfolio / Business Process Manager will manage overall business practices for NPD project and portfolio management within the AN Portfolio and Resource Management System (Planview).

  • Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for establishing and maintaining business practices for management of the NPD portfolio and associated data (project, resources, reporting, etc.) in Planview; monitor progress and performance against the plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to implement and maintain the best practices.
  • Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; KPIs, training materials, system configurations, testing plans, etc.

  • Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete.

  • Liaise with other areas in the organization as part of broader Planview system roadmap. Support onboarding of new groups and rollout of new business processes within the system and perform system administration activities including: Including user set-up, project set-up, system configuration to support new user groups/business processes, troubleshooting issues, and upgrade testing.

  • Drive continuous improvement teams; monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.
  • Conduct team meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the continuous improvement projects within and beyond the project team.

  • Coach and mentor teams and users assist them to solve problems.


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 4 years
  • PMP preferred
  • In project / portfolio management or related field
  • Experience with portfolio management systems including system configuration / relational databases and reporting if preferred.
  • Must be a strong verbal and written communicator, training experience is preferred.
