Nurse Practitioner- Oncology

Responsibilities

In collaborative practice with the Medical
Director, attending physicians and fellows, the nurse practitioner will be
responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care
management services for the Oncology Center patients. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a master's
prepared oncology advanced practice nurse employed by UCLA Oncology Practices
to assist in direct patient care. The NPII will be responsible for
communication and feedback with patients, families, and referring physicians
and will serve as an clinical care extender of attending Oncologists. Incumbent must be self directed and function
with minimal direct supervision.

NPI less than 6 months experience
Qualifications
  • Current California Licensure as RN and Nurse Practitioner - required.
  • Graduated with an MSN/DNP Specialty in Adult Acute Care, Adult NP with Oncology Experience - required.
  • Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) -preferred.
  • National NP certification- required.
  • Oncology experience as an RN or NP - strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR/BCLS - required.
  • Skills and abilities to perform accurate assessment and evaluation of oncology patients - required
  • Will Consider New Graduate NPs(must have had oncology exp in RN role)
    NPI less than 6 months experience
