Medical Economics Analyst

The Medical Economics Analyst will be responsible for providing analytics support for Aetna Medicaid's contract analytics team and will work closely with business units across the company to provide contract analytics modeling, fee schedule change modeling and business decisions support.

- Analyze, research and model contract negotiations
- Analyze, research and model state & provider specific fee schedule updates
- Consult with network (national and local market) on opportunities to improve company's unit cost position
- Prepare reconciliations and provide consultative review of network opportunities
- Collaborate and assist senior team members on complex contract negotiations and data
- Own, track and document all aspects of related work from beginning to end of its life cycle
- Contributes to a motivated work environment by working effectively to achieve common goals

Required Qualifications
2 or more years of experience in the managed care industry with knowledge in contracts and network

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivots, dynamic visualizations)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong SQL and/or SAS programming
- Strong problem-solving skills and clinical thinking ability

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
