Abbott Rapid Dx North America, LLC's Orlando site is part of Global Business Services (GBS) within the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) Division. The Business Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the Business Services Support team. This role supports data analytics, operational reporting, efficiency projects, and problem resolution. This individual will address complex operational challenges and analyze and define strategic and operational improvements within our workgroups. This team member will also interface with the Customer Service, Operations, and Finance teams to recommend solutions and efficiencies, report out on status of existing projects, and develop templates to create efficiencies within existing reporting requirements.

  • Collects/receives INR results from patient.
  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively.
  • Develop, track, and report on key operational metrics in partnership with business leaders.
  • Actively monitor daily business results and anticipate developing trends and potential impacts to future results.
  • Interpret results autonomously using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Strategically analyze reports across all departments to identify gaps or opportunities that drive business improvement.
  • Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical-interpretive, evaluative, and constructive thinking.
  • Understand data-management controls and business process intelligence.
  • Understand and translate business requirements into system requirements incorporating timing, contingencies, and limitations.
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical decision making within approved guidelines on business-process and system requirements.
  • Clearly document workflows and processes.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and standardization.
  • Assist in development of key sales and operating metrics with the goal of developing executive-level dashboards.
  • Promote, engage, and demonstrate intuitive and visual analytics tools to all partners.
  • Regularly ensure that reporting delivered to internal customers is accurate, useful, and actionable.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects on an as-needed basis.


  • Bachelor's Degree with quantitative focus, or related required
  • 3+ years financial or operations analyst experience required
  • Advanced experience with SAP required
  • Business Analytics tool experience required (Power BI preferred)
  • Advanced experience in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint) required

  • Excellent attention to detail, well-organized, highly accountable, and self-motivated
  • Excellent analytical insight, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience presenting and analyzing large quantities of data with strong spreadsheet and database query experience (e.g. SQL, Python, Power BI)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited guidance
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented individual with the perseverance to push high-value projects through to completion
  • Developed time-management and priority-setting skills required to work in an often ambiguous and constantly changing business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex analysis to all levels within the organization
